Qatar to increase Pakistani workforce in upcoming year, CG told KATI

Karachi:  Consul General QatarMishal Mohammed Al-Ansari told that Qatar is planning to increase Pakistani workforce up to 3 hundred thousand annually in coming years, on arrival visa is available for Pakistani visitors. He was talking to office bearers of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry(KATI) on his visit to the association. On this occasion President KATI Tariq Malik, Senior Vice President Salman Aslam, Vice President Junaid Naqi, Chairman and CEO KITE DMC Zubair Chhaya, Former President KATI Farhan-Ur-Rehman, Mahmood Ul Hasan and other also expressed their views.

President KATI Tariq Malik welcomed the Consul General of Qatar and briefed him about Korangi Industrial Area and also urged to make stronger Trade relations and business ties between the both countries. He said that Pakistan and Qatar shares the values based upon faith and Muslim Unity. Tariq Malik mentioned that bilateral cooperation of Qatar and Pakistan brought revolution to energy sector of Pakistan and we hope the same enthusiasm in trade relations. He said that law & order and economic conditions of Pakistan were becoming more suitable by every passing day, this is the time that Qatari investors should come forward for direct investments in Pakistan, He urged.

Prior to this Qatari Consul General briefed the gathering about law reforms brought by the state to facilitate investments and business activities at home. He said that Qatar sustained blockade and diplomatic crisis of last year and its economy prevailed to higher venues. He said that during this crisis Qatar has find more opportunities and alternative to make stable its economy. He also briefed about the Vision 2030. He said that to strengthen relation with Pakistan, Qatar provided the facility of on arrival visa to Pakistani visitors. He also told that in upcoming years Qatar would increase Pakistan work force from one hundred thousand to three hundred thousand annually. He also expressed his satisfaction on current economic and law & order condition in Pakistan. Deputy Head of Qatari Mission in Pakistan Mubarak Saeed Al Marri and advisor to CG Qatar Muhammad Anwar also accompanied Qatari CG in this visit.
