HYDERABAD: The management of University of Sindh has decided to replace its existing electricity system with solar energy in order to ensure uninterrupted power supply as well as to save huge amount being paid in respect of electricity bills.
In this regard, the university spokesman informed on Friday that the acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Akhtar Hussain Mughal held meeting with Riaz Ahmed Shaikh, the director of the private solar energy company.
While briefing the acting Vice Chancellor, Riaz Ahmed Shaikh informed that replacement of existing electricity system with solar energy will not only issue the problem of load shedding but the university management will also be able to save huge amount which is being paid in respect of electricity bills.
The meeting decided to arrange another meeting with detail presentation from the solar energy company.
Among others, Advisor to Vice Chancellor on Higher Education Dr. Ameer Ali Abro, Executive Engineer Electric Tanveer Gulfam, Director Sports (Boys) Ajwaid Ahmed Bhatti and Provost Boys Hostels Dr. Riaz Hussain Mari also attended the meeting.
